It’s hard to believe that we’ve already started the Lenten season. It’s seems like just yesterday that the house was all decorated for Christmas! And then yesterday we were at Ash Wednesday mass.
Alexander got his First grade second quarter progress report yesterday. He’s doing good in school. Academically there were never any issues. The problems have always been following rules, finishing his work on time and the such. It’s not that he’s willfully doing the wrong thing. It’s more like he’s just a little too impulsive and behaves immaturely sometimes. We’ve successfully addressed “following rules” this quarter. In the next quarter we’re going to try and get him to improve on the “completing assignments on time”.
Andrew is growing in leaps and bounds. He’s moving his head around a lot, lifts his upper body. He smiles a lot and laughs too when we tickle him. He’s still a mama’s boy but that is to be expected I guess, since I’m with him almost 24×7.
Aaron is enjoying preschool. They have gym time too which he really likes. I will be enrolling him 3 times a week next year. He’s learning about taking turns and tries to teach Anthony too. He’s now writing his alphabet A- Z and a-z and numbers 1-10. We’re also working on him writing his name.
Anthony is quite the talker. His vocabulary is amazing for a two year old. He picks up things very fast. I guess because he has older brothers. He is also very naughty! Takes after his big brother Alexander in that!
In other news, I finished my first knitting attempt. It’s a 10 X 10 cloth I made that I will be using in an afghan. Here’s a picture
Well, we’ve been a little busy to say the least. Andrew developed a heavy chest cold at the end of 2007. He was wheezing and uncomfortable to the doctor prescribed Albuterol. He took that for a week and at his follow-up he was much better but still a little congested. Alexander started the round and got better first but he’s gotten another cold again and we’re hoping he does not spread it around again! We’re still recovering from the previous round.
In other news, I’ve decided to learn knitting this year. I’ve started a simple new sweater for Alexander using Homespun Delft and this pattern. Hope it turns out okay. I’ve also joined the Craftster 12″ Square a month Crochet Along. I am doing Two Squares a month and hopefully at the end of the year should have a pretty large Afghan from this. Here are the first two squares:
I am also working on the Jewel top by Doris Chan. Will post pictures of that soon.
Wife for 7 years. Mom for 6 years. I am the exhausted mom to four boys 6, 4, 2 and a baby born in Oct '07. I have a Masters in Computers and worked until 2005, but with the birth of my third son, I became a SAHM. This blog tracks our life, my crochet work and my love of Christmas. Sometimes real life gets hectic and I drop off the radar but I always come back again!
