My little Bethlehem…

This past Sunday was our Goa DC Christmas Party for the children. The kids had a blast. The party was at 2 pm. First they had the live Christmas Nativity play and then kusvar and snacks were served. It was potluck style. Afterwards there were games for kids and adults. Here are pictures of the play. Alexander and Aaron were shepherds, Anthony was a king and was carried by his dad, who had the misfortune of being the camel :). Andrew was baby Jesus and a cool and calm one he was! Enjoy!

Baby Hoodie completed!

Just completed the baby sweater I was working on for Andrew. Here’s a picture:

Have lots to do… Have to complete Aaron’s shepherd’s costume for this Saturday. Just the bottom hemming is left. Have completed Anthony’s paper crown. He’s going to be king. Alexander and Aaron are shepherds. Alexander is all set I think. Alexander does have a paper gingerbread man to decorate and there’s a couple of Styrofoam stockings to decorate for the party too…

Six weeks

Published by AmandaF under Family, Everyday Living

Here’s a recent picture of Andrew. Time really flies by. He’s completed 6 weeks now. He’s had two colds and I’m sure there’s more on the way! He lifts his head now and smiles and gurgles at us. He’s very interested in the world around.

In other news, Anthony is talking up a storm He’s really very clear. He knows all our names and will even call his dad and me by our first names sometimes. He knows to communicate his feelings like “I afraid”, ” I crying”, ” I coughing”, “I hungry”. Of course being the third boy, his vocabulary also includes “batmobile”, “batman”, “spiderman”, etc. He can count from 1-15 in English and 1-8 in Spanish. He loves to end the phrases and sentences of the songs and rhymes I sing to him.

Aaron is loving preschool. They have gym class which he thouroughly enjoys. He is slowly learning to write his alphabets and numbers now.

Alexander is doing well in school. His reading has really improved since he reads most days for around 20-30 minutes. He played soccer in fall and his dad takes them to the indoor arena sometimes now that the weather is cold.

This past weekend, their dad took them to the St. Nicks party in church. Next week they have rehearsal for the nativity scene they are in. This is for the DC Goan Association Childrens’ Christmas party on Dec 15th. So, we’re busy, busy busy!
