It’s been a week already!

I can’t believe how fast times flies! Andrew has already completed a week! We’ve been having a hectic time here of change…

First of all, we took Andrew for his 2 day dr. visit and the dr. told us that we had to schedule a sonogram for Andrew. His hips are making a clicking sound and though that could be normal, it could also be a sign of Hip dysplasia. He told us to wait for 15 days to schedule the appointment. Well, in that time the family will be going through a job change period… so we don’t really know which insurance will be in effect… the old job’s (since Angelo is leaving after the month starts) or the new job’s ( I think they said the insurance kicks in, the month after joining). Oh well, we have a few days to figure it out, I guess. In the meantime over the weekend, we noticed that Andrew’s wet diapers tended to be blood tinged. I’d noticed it once in the hospital but I though that maybe the diaper had caught his belly button and that had bled into his diaper but even when we were careful to avoid that, we still saw the blood. We waited anxiously until Monday but it seems to have cleared itself up by Monday. Still keeping a close eye on the diapers though. In the meantime, Andrew seems to be doing good. He’s nursing well. He smiles a lot in his sleep and sometimes even laughs. He’s even given us a few smiles while awake! He definitely knows mom and dad becuse he tends to be cranky if anyone else tries to carry him but us.

Alexander’s class went on a field trip last Friday to a local park on a rainy day when it had already rained for three days! It was a soggy trip and he came back in wet socks and pants. We got him to change and gave him a hot bath but to no avail. He caught a chill that developed into a cold, which is now doing the rounds through the family! So far, he has it and so does Angelo (got it Sunday) and Anthony (got it yesterday) . I have also developed a scratchy throat yesterday… hopefully, Andrew is spared. Aaron is alright so far but I wonder for how long?!

Here’s a picture of the 8 day old Andrew:
