Here’s a picture of the completed booties to go with the gown -

Working on this cloche for myself now in Caron Glimmer Red.
In other news, had my prenatal appointment yesterday. Things are good. Did the Group B streptococcus (GBS) test. Since the baby is now considered full term, I think it calls for a lot of walking to get things moving. Dr. said the baby was still pretty high up though I was 50% effaced. Been having a lot of irregular contractions but looks like it’s not done much to move the baby.

The Victorian Baby Cape is done! I used Bernat Softee Baby White Sparkle yarn. I thought I could use it with the christening gown I crocheted. Got me some more yarn to complete the gown, so onto that now. Here’s a picture of the cape:

In other news, I got a haircut. Lopped off quite a bit of hair (around 5″ at least I think) but I figure with four kids and one of them being a brand new baby, washing and drying my hair not to mention getting some time to brush it is going to go by the wayside. Here’s some pictures -

Anthony turned two on Sunday. He’s growing stronger and smarter everyday. He’s talking quite a bit. He says “up”, “down”, “top”, “hug”, “kiss”, “CD”, “movie”, and, many other words. He calls Aaron “Anna”, Savio “Sav”. He can communicate in phrases - “Give me milk”, “I want too” and loves dancing - though his version involves somersaults and gymnastics. He loves hearing “Itsy bitsy spider” and “Twinkle, Twinkle little star”. He loves playing with cars.
Here’s a picture of him before church Sunday:

Here’s a picture of him blowing off his candles:

In some crochet news, the baby blanket is finally done. It’s around 36″ x 37″. I did a very simple border because I was eager to go onto the next project. Here’s a picture of the blanket:

Here’s a picture of Alexander leaving for his first day of school :

Here’s a picture of Alexander on his birthday:

So far, he’s enjoying school and going to bed by 8:45 pm and waking at 6:30 am is working out okay for him. Yesterday was the back to school meeting with the teacher and parents. I went for it and though it’s early days yet, he’s got a good teacher and I think he should be alright.
In other news, I am going through a yuck stage. Constant tiredness is my companion but as mom of three, getting some rest is not always easy. Bending is very difficult and makes me very nauseous and so does the baby’s movement. Every day by 11 am, I feel like it should already be 10 at night. My eyes hurt and so does my head and tummy. Just a few more weeks, I think think I should be able to hang in there. We’ll see.
Now for some crochet news, the blanket is around 70% done, I hope to finish it over the weekend. Will take some pictures soon, it’s a simple 5 dc shell pattern but hey, I’m just learning so nothing fancy here. I want to start on a Victorian cape for the baby after that to wear with the christening outfit (made with Bernat Baby Fingering White yarn). I will be using some TLC sparkle soft yarn and this pattern.
