The kids ate my homework!
These days getting a post up is way down on my totem pole of priorities. It’s a miracle I can even get on sometimes. Anthony will be 18 months soon and he seems to be bringing in the milestone in super style… he has one canine peeking out on top but he’s already popping out a couple of molars! It’s making for some pretty interesting nights… Interesting, that is, if you are interested in a screamfest at night… I don’t know if they are hurting him or he’s having nightmares or growing through a growthspurt and so is hungry. He’s not overly hungry during the days but then he is a snacker rather than a eating only at mealtimes kind of guy.
He is saying a few words like bye, there, tiger but the other day (Friday to be specific) he caught me off gaurd. I was changing his diaper and he started shouting “Ow, Ow, Ow! Hap (Help)! Hap!” It was so funny, I just burst out laughing!
Alexander attended soccer classes as part of after school enrichment in January. The last day was the middle of Febuary (postponed due to the ice storm we had) and they got a white soccer shirt. The next day he wore it to school and when he got back he ate some yoghurt and some specks fell on the shirt of course… His comment - Mom, I know! You could use Mr Clean Magic Eraser on it to take out the stains. The magic of tv and advertising! This week their celebrating Dr. Seuss birthday in school. Today was Mismatched Monday. Alexander wore his shoes on wrong and one was black and the other a sneaker. He wore his shirt and pants backwards and two different colorful socks. He really enjoyed that. Must take a picture when he gets home.
I hope the weather gets better soon. I want to enroll Aaron in preschool and registrations are well underway! I hope I get an opening! Aaron is still not night trained but he’s doing pretty good using the bathroom during the day. He is his older brother’s biggest champion. When we’re reprimanding Alexander over some wrongdoind, he’s quick to come to his defense!
