The last couple of weeks have been really busy and tiring… First, was Aaron’s fall and the subsequent stitches and drama that went with it… and now the illness that comes with school and cold weather!
I guess, because Alexander has never been to daycare or preschool, his immunity is not up to par. That means he’s been bringing home germs pretty regularly! So far the kids have been through three rounds of colds, one after the other. The last bout was the worst. Alexander started with a fever Friday night that ended only after Monday. Luckily, he did not have school Monday and Tuesday. Then Aaron caught it. He didn’t have a fever but his cold was really bad… which means no sleep for everyone. Then Anthony caught it… He had four days of fever with his cold and as an added bonus got an ear infection too… Needless to say Angelo and I did not escape the last bout either.
In other news, Alexander’s first parent teacher meeting was on Monday. Overall, it wenr very well. He mixes up the b and d but he got through the PALS test with flying colors. He got all the rhyming words right and all the starting sounds right. Also all the letter sounds. He got “advanced reader” status. He knew all the sight words and more. The only thing is he is a little slow with work in that he gets easily distracted…. which I already know about… had mentioned it to the teacher in the beginning… He is definitely enjoying school…. like going there everyday and does not like holidays too much!
More news on the family front, my BIL, got his visa to the US and will be here on Saturday.
