Last Weekend in July!

Published by AmandaF at 1:32 pm under Home, Family, Everyday Living

This weekend was a pretty eventful one!

On Friday, we sent off our papers requesting citizenship… hopefully we hear back with an acceptance.

On Saturday, we took the children to Lake Fairfax Park for a picnic. We joined another two families from the area. The kids had a blast. The park is really great. It has a lake, a pool and a carousel. We did not go fishing or boating but the kids had fun on the carousel and the pool. They really enjoyed themselves and we came home exhausted! I definitely know we will be going there again! It’s really a great place and you don’t have to go to the pool everytime.

Sunday, we went to church and then it was back home to get the various chores done and an additional nap. The weekend was great and so of course, Sunday night was just the opposite. For some reason, Anthony woke up every hour and half, crying and screaming. I have no idea what was wrong. He would sleep well as long as I was carrying him walkign around and then sitting. But when I put him down and went to sleep, he would wake up soon and start crying. I am completely tired today!

Poor Angelo was pretty tired this morning but had to go to work anyway. This morning after the kids woke up and had breakfast, we left for Alexander’s school. I dropped off his medical records and then we headed to church to sign him up for kindergarten CCD. Paid the fee and have enrolle him for the Sunday mid-morning classes. They start mid-September… We are in for an eventful and busy year! Anthony cried the whole way from the school to church and back home. He was fine as soon as I got him out of his car seat and carried him to get the work done but miserable in the car seat! On top of that the radio in the van seems to be having issues… On the way back, it would not work… Can’t wait to tell Angelo!

In other news, we are going to be getting our patio this year after all… We got a pretty decent quote from one of the guys we asked…after some very high quotes earlier. So, we’ll go with the last guy. Hopefully he does a good job. He’s giving us a three year warranty. So, if anything does go wrong that should cover it. Just called Miss Utility to get the Utility lines marked out.

It’s been a busy day all around!
