Praise God!
I just found out my twin sister had a miraculous escape. She and her family live and work in Bombay. She was on her way home when the Bomb blasts happened. She was in one of the trains that was hit. The boogie hit was the Men’s First Class. She was in the Ladies First Class. She had to jump off at Mahim station. She then walked to Bandra and managed to get a rickshaw home to Borivali. My brother-in-law is okay too. They did have some trouble reaching him because the phone lines are all clogged up.
I have yet to call her. Mom will call her first. Then I will call later. I think it’s about 10:30 pm there. My heart is beating a million beats a second. I thank the Lord Jesus that they are fine and so are all my cousins in Bombay. My heart goes out the many who have lost their family members. I was so close to being one of them today.

I have not been able to speak to her. The phone lines to Bombay are too stressed out. My mom has not been able to talk to her either. So, the only one who spoke to her was our younger sister, whom she called, when she got off (or rather jumped off) the train. Hers was one of two trains actually hit. The other bombs were on the train stations. She had a very long walk to the next station, before getting a rickshaw. My younger sis says she was upset the first time she called but the next time she was entering her house and seemed much better. My BIL does not take the train to work but instead a bus. Thank God for that because the boogies hit were all men’s first class, which he would have been in!
I’m so glad your family is okay. How scary. I know you will feel much better when you finally speak to your sister. Big hugs!!
[…] As I said below, my sister had a very near escape in the the Bombay Blasts. I finally was able to speak to her last night. She was in the next car. Very Often, the Ladies First and Men’s First are in the same car, just seperated by a door. Yesterday, her Gaurdian Angel was very busy… The ladies and men’s first class compartments were seperate cars. That is what saved her. Here’s a picture of the train she was in. […]
Gee! that is a total wreck. Indeed it is a miracle that she has survived that.
Thanks for dropping by.
Praise the Lord!! I am so glad your family is okay. Thinking and praying for everyone.
