I’m exhausted!
This weekend was a little too busy! On Friday, we did our normal Costco trip and then after that took the kids to the park. Saturday, I had to go to DMV and renew my license and that went pretty well. I had breakfast, made the kids’ breakfast, made sure that the 2 year old went to the bathroom and left for the DMV. I got out of the DMV within an hour and decided to see if I could get my hair cut. Walked into my local Hair Cuttery to find it crowded. There were only four people cutting hair and I waited a half hour but never saw my hairdresser. It was getting late, I had to go home and cook our lunches, so I left without cutting my hair after sitting there for forty minutes. Walked into the house and started my cooking, when Angelo got a call from someone he had contacted about a sofa he wanted. So he decided to drive there immediately. He took Alexander with him. He was gone for 2 1/2 hours. In the meantime, I cooked, fed the Aaron and Anthony lunch. It was 2 pm by now and there was no sign of them. Then they called. They were on their way back but it would be another half hour. Angelo suggested I go ahead and eat. I had just finshed eating and was washing up the lunch dishes when they walked in the door. We unloaded the sofa and put it in the garage. Saturday evening, we took the kids to the park again. We were a little down with Brazil losing the quarter finals….
Sunday morning was mass. Before leaving for mass, I put the clothes in the washer. After mass, we stopped at Lowes to get some fertilizer for the fruit trees. When we got home I put the laundry in the dryer. And started on lunch. After lunch, I kept waiting for the dryer to go off but it would not. In the meantime, we moved the old sofa to the garage, vaccumed the family room floor and moved the new sofa in. I went to check on the dryer…. the clothes were moving around in there but they were still wet and the dryer had no hot air in it… Strange… it had been on since 12 pm and it was now 3 pm. Great! the dyer was busted… So, we scrounged the local ads and Craigslist for used Amana or Maytag dryers and found someone nearby selling an old cheap Amana dryer. Angelo and Alexander left for the bank and to collect the dryer. When they left we had a couple of short storms. Atleast, we did not have to water the plants today!
When they got back, we moved the old dryer out, got the cable from it and installed it on the “new” dryer and moved that to the laundry room. Then I got two loads of laundry dried, folded and put away. After all this work, I got around 4 hours of sleep last night. I just couldn’t sleep for some reason… I am really tired this morning!
