About the picture below

The picture was taken in Goa, India. That’s where I come from originally and went to visit there last month. Crosses are quite common in Goa even though the Christian population is only around 30%. This is a legacy from our Portuguese history. We were a Portuguese colony until December 1961. Crosses dot most of Goa , in front of most Christian homes (not apartments), at crossroads, near accident prone roads, for protection ,etc.. This cross was at the sluice gates we went to visit near my husband’s home. It was taken in the evening before sunset.

  3. The ability to to go the bathroom alone with no one banging on the door.
  4. The relaxation of a long soothing warm bath.
  5. The smiles and laughter of little children.
