How many simple things have you learned to appreciate more, for one reason or another? Please list them and feel free to elaborate on each.
- The beauty of true faith.
- The peace and quiet of the morning before the kids are up.
- The ability to to go the bathroom alone with no one banging on the door.
- The relaxation of a long soothing warm bath.
- The smiles and laughter of little children.
- A clean house (impossible to have with three boys!).
- Good food I did not have to cook.
- Uninterrupted sleep. I have 3 kids in bed with me now…

I am actually pretty glad it’s Monday… I guess that’s the hallmark of a SAHM. Things actually quiet down a little after the weekend.
Friday, we did our usual Costco shopping. On Saturday, we decided to see if there were any moving sales around. We want a bookcase for the kids books and I want something to organize the kids toys a little better than they are now but we could not find anything… maybe we should have left a little earlier… we only left after I cleaned the kitchen and Angelo swept and mopped the kitchen floor… it was 10 am. Did some more grocery shopping and then came home to cook and eat lunch. After lunch, I cleaned up the master bedroom which was strewn with papers that had to be sorted into important (to be filed) or discarded. The room is clean now so that’s good.
In the afternoon, Alexander wanted to go to the mall nearby that has a kids playarea. So, we drove there but the kids area was closed. They were disappointed but alright after a few rides on those money-eating machines. We bought a pair of slippers for Angelo and a 30lb dumbell and decided to visit some friends. They have two children, a 6 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. Alexander and Aaron had fun playing with them.
Sunday was a pretty quiet day. We went to church and came back. Then made lunch. After lunch I cleaned up the formal dining room and sitting room, while the kids watched television. After that I put the baby down for his nap and napped myself. In the evening we took the kids to a nearby park and then came home for baths and to get ready for Monday.
Anthony is now standing up with support for longer and longer. He is really growing up very fast!
